I was pondering the words of Psalm 139 when David Wrote:
13 For you created my inmost being
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Before we physically entered this world, we were stitched and knitted and created in a perfect way. As we then entered the real world and grew older and wiser, we experienced hurt, brokenness, disappointment, etc. We may have gone down the wrong path and had to deal with the consequences. Some of us may have been hurt so much we can’t experience love. Wouldn’t it be nice if we can get stitched back up to the way God had us before we entered the world? Ever think on how we would be or lives would be where we can be and think the way God created us without all the baggage, hurt and disappointment?
If you ever watched Toy Story, I think about the part when Woodie had his arm ripped from a pop seam and his arm was just dangling. A specialist was then called in to stitch him back up for show purposes. This specialist not only stitched him back up but gave him a polish, repainted some areas, and made him look brand new again. Just like he was from the moment he was initially designed. Wouldn’t that be nice if we could have that same make over? Not just on the outside but more importantly on the inside?
Well God is able to do that and he wants to do that for us. Here is an excerpt from Psalm 139:
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
